July 2025: Assistant conductor at the Badisches Staatstheater
Starting September 2025, Katharina Morin has the position of assistant conductor of the GMD at Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe.
June 2025: Katharina Morin joins TACT Artists Management
The international agency (website) will represent Katharina Morin from season 2025/2026 onwards.
October 12, 2024: Deutscher Preis für Chordirigieren 2024
Katharina Morin was awarded the Deutscher Preis für Chordirigieren, a prize for young choir conductors in Germany. This annual prize, organized by Forum Dirigieren, goes to the winner of a competition featuring renowned choir ensemble RIAS Kammerchor. Over the span of several days, each of the three competitors rehearsed and performed pieces by Finzi, Rautavaara, Bruckner, and Schütz.
In announcing the winner, chairman of the jury Prof. Florian Helgath said:
„Mit ihrem positiven authentischen Wesen und ihrer erfrischenden Musikalität schafft sie es, einen Raum zu öffnen, in dem frei musiziert werden kann. Sie ist in der Lage, feinste differenzierte Klanglichkeiten zu erzeugen. Man spürte, dass die Synapsen zwischen dem Chor und ihr nur so flogen.“Translated:
